Who we are

Setlio Scales (“we”, “us”) is a web app at scales.setlio.co.uk, part of setlio.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the service.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Account data from Google sign-in: name, email address, email verification status, and profile image URL.
• Authentication data: session tokens, and optionally IP address and browser user agent associated with a session.
• Preferences you sync after signing in: known and favourite scale IDs, and display/settings choices stored with your account.
• Purchase records: whether you have a lifetime unlock, plus Stripe checkout / payment identifiers needed to confirm and show entitlement. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

Guests can browse free scales without an account. Preference sync and unlock purchases require sign-in.

How we use it

We use this data to:

• Sign you in and keep you signed in
• Sync preferences across devices
• Provide free and unlocked scale access
• Process and fulfil the lifetime unlock purchase
• Operate admin tools for service maintenance (e.g. unlock support)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising networks or third-party marketing profiles.

Sign-in with Google

Authentication uses Google OAuth. Google provides the account identifiers we need to create or recognise your account. Google’s own processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We request basic profile and email information for sign-in; we do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or similar.

Payments

Optional lifetime unlock payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect billing details directly. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We store entitlement status and related Stripe session/payment IDs so we can unlock gated scales and help with purchase support.

Where data is stored

The app is hosted on Cloudflare (including Workers and D1 database). Account, session, preference, and entitlement data are stored there to run the service. Cloudflare’s processing is described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies or similar storage needed for authentication sessions. The browser may also keep UI preferences locally; once you are signed in, preferences can sync to your account on our servers.

Retention

We keep account, preference, and entitlement data while your account is active and the service is operating. Session data expires according to session lifetime. If the service is discontinued, we may delete remaining data as part of shutting down hosting.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. To correct account name or email, update them in your Google account and sign in again. For deletion of your Setlio Scales account data, or questions about what we hold, contact us using the details on setlio.co.uk. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
